The Bulin 47 AI trend, explained

The Bulin 47 AI trend is a TikTok and Reels format where people use AI to put their own face, a friend’s or a pet’s into a viral street freestyle by Dominican artist Bulin 47. The original clip, filmed outside a restaurant in Spain with creator Kevin Wai, passed 60 million views and led to the song “Dame Hombro”.

Who is Bulin 47?

Bulin 47 is a Dominican dembow artist whose real name is Hansel Reynoso. He was already well known in the Dominican Republic before October 2026: his YouTube channel has around 3 million subscribers and his song “Calorazo” has more than 60 million views. In September 2026 he was on a European tour.

The original freestyle with Kevin Wai

In early October 2026, Bulin 47 was about to walk into a restaurant in Spain when Kevin Wai, a young creator known for filming himself with public figures, stopped him with a portable speaker playing a dembow beat. Instead of walking past, Bulin 47 answered on the spot with rhymes, dance moves and his trademark shoulder bounce.

Both of them posted the moment. Spanish-language media reported that the clip had passed 50 million views across platforms by October 7 and more than 60 million a day later. You will also see Kevin’s name written as Kevin Way or Kevincito; it is the same person.

From meme to song: “Dame Hombro”

The two turned the moment into an official song. “Dame Hombro” (Bulin 47 & Kevin Wai, produced by Breyco) reached music platforms on October 7, 2026, and its video premiered on Bulin’s YouTube channel on October 8. “Dame hombro” roughly means “give me shoulder”, a nod to the shoulder bounce from the freestyle, which is why the dance is also called the #hombrochallenge.

Why the AI version took off

Within days, editors started using AI to swap Bulin 47 for other faces: footballers, politicians, cartoon characters, and above all themselves. The format is easy to recognise in a second, the beat is catchy, and the result looks like you were really there. Even Israel’s prime minister reacted to an AI version of the trend.
