Where the name comes from
As a teenager in Capotillo he ran with a group of friends who called themselves “Los Bulines”. The name stuck. Before music paid, he worked deliveries and drove a motoconcho, the motorbike taxis of Santo Domingo. He has told Listín Diario that he once thought he would have to go back to it.
How he got famous
His career started with videos nobody planned: jokes and freestyles recorded in a friend’s barbershop that spread on social media. His first song, “Siete Pollos”, became a hit in 2016 and his album “El Rey de las Dagor” followed in 2017. Over the next decade he released dozens of singles and worked with Dominican names like Ceky Viciny and Kiko El Crazy, and in 2024 with Myke Towers on a new version of “Mi Tranza”.
The 2026 freestyle with Kevin Wai
In early October 2026, on a European tour, Bulin 47 was stopped outside a restaurant in Spain by Kevin Wai, a young Colombian creator with a portable speaker playing a dembow beat. Bulin freestyled on the spot, and the clip passed 60 million views across platforms within days. The two turned it into “Dame Hombro”, produced by Breyco, released on October 7.
That clip is also the one behind the AI trend, where people put their own face, a friend’s or a pet’s in Bulin’s place.
